Since starting my Mounjaro journey last year, I’ve really appreciated having professional medical guidance and a thoughtful approach to weight loss and metabolic health.

In January 2025 I came to a conclusion that I had to do something about my waking blood glucose (as it was always high and I knew that I was at risk of having diabetes as I had gestational diabetes when I was 3 months pregnant with our child years ago). I had been xn active walker for years and do try to eat clean 70% of the time. I went online, found a Dr and went to the Dr for help. I was with this Dr for 2 months with not much change as I was started with Ozempic and the personalized care wasn't that detailed.
Dr Tomiwa then informed me that she was starting her own practice of caring holistically for patients especially those with weight problem etc. I jumped on her wagon. And behold, I have never regretted this. She took up the challenge, helped me with adjusting my dosage on Mounjaro and also started Pilates with her. 6th January 2025 I weighed 104.5kg. I have been an active walker for years. I only decided to try jogging in the last week of December 2024 when I saw a lady one and a half my size jogging. When I changed to Dr Tomiwa I was weighing 102kg. Presently, I weigh 71kg. I jog atleast 4km 5 days a week confidently. I have renewed energy. I don't have back aches like I use to. My waking blood glucose is now normal. Clothes fit so well. Went from size 18 to size 10. No food noise again.
Dr Tomiwa has been a very attentive, humane and efficient Dr. Always looking out for me, guiding me and making sure that I follow the right lifestyle.
I use to eat a bar of chocolate every night. In July 2025, I decided to break the habit by going sugar free all month; no chocolate, no sugar, no honey,no busicuit, no muffin etc. I did this for a whole month. I must confess that the first 4 days were the hardest. I had terrible withdrawal symptoms. That was when I realized that I was a sugar addict. When I woke up the 5th day and I was still "alive", i just knew that I could make it, and so I did for a month. Not only did i break my sugar addiction, my weight loss took a rapid improvement.
Going to Dr Tomiwa and using both mounjaro and holistic approach of eating well (protein first, fibre with every meal), drinking a lot of water, doing away with sugar, exercising regularly has been a life changer for me. In July 2025, I introduced a friend from outside the country to Dr Tomiwa when she came here for holiday. The treatment she got was top notch. Dr Tomiwa cares deeply for her patients and she is always given to details. My friend has so far lost about 22kg.
